Violeta by Ace Seeds is one of the most unique genetic projects of the Spanish bank: the carefully selected cross between the purple phenotypes of Malawi and Pakistan Chitral Kush elite 2002. The goal was to create a hybrid variety that captured the spectacular colors of both purple lines with short flowering and exceptional resistance. The result was more than satisfactory: a plant 60% Indica with a unique visual phenotype, robust, super resistant, productive and with a very balanced and pleasant balsamic aroma that doesn't look like anything in the catalogue. It became one of the bank's most popular varieties since its launch in 2014.

Plant morphology. Violeta grows compact and robust, with a well-ordered columnar structure. Indoors it reaches between 70-100cm; Outdoors it can reach 1.5-2 meters. Its flowering is short for a hybrid with inheritance from Malawi : only 8-9 weeks, with outdoor harvest at the end of September or beginning of October. At the end of flowering, the buds are stained with purple, violet, red and pink colors very intense that make it one of the most beautiful plants in the Ace Seeds catalog.

Appearance of the flower. The buds of Violeta are elongated and resinous, with those spectacular purple colors that visually distinguish them. The aroma is balsamic, sweet and very balanced: forest fruits, fruity, minty and a sweet and floral background. The effect upon consumption is initially active and creative, with progressive physical relaxation — a very pleasant balance between the Sativa heritage of Malawi and the calming nature of PCK. Essential oil with notes of mint and eucalyptus appear in some phenotypes.

Cultivation tips

• What is the ideal climate to grow Violeta ? It is one of the most versatile and resistant from the Ace Seeds catalogue. It adapts well to cold, temperate and warm climates. To enhance the purple colors, it is recommended to grow it outdoors or lower the night temperatures indoors to 15-18°C in the last weeks of flowering.
• What training techniques work best with Violeta ? Its compact and columnar structure makes it ideal for techniques SOG and SCROG. It also responds very well to LST to open its canopy and improve light penetration. It is a very easy variety to handle and suitable for growers of all levels.
• What type of fertilization does Violeta need? Responds well to a moderate and balanced fertilization. Resin stimulators in the final flowering phase enhance its balsamic and fruity profile. It does not require particularly demanding nutrition to give excellent results.
• What should the irrigation and humidity be like for Violeta ? has a high resistance to botrytis and powdery mildew, which makes it very safe even in conditions of variable humidity. Irrigation should be regular and moderate. Its exceptional resistance makes it very suitable for guerrilla and outdoor crops without constant supervision.
• Is it necessary to prune the Violeta plant? A cleaning basal shoots and the elimination of leaves that block internal ventilation are enough to optimize performance. Its well-organized structure already favors good light distribution without the need for aggressive interventions.
